On January 20, 2006, me and my fellow Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) exchange student friends decided to visit Tokyo Tower. We decided to go during the night time so that we could see the night view.
Arriving at Tokyo Tower.
Once you get to Tokyo Tower, there is no grand entrance or any park in front, you enter through a giant parking lot into a building with a food court, and crappy gift shops. Maybe that's why you never see the entire picture of the Tokyo Tower in pictures, only the top half because the bottom is so ugly.
Going up the tower.
Views from the top.
This is Roppongi Hills (The building that is in the centre). Exclusive shopping, living, dining place for rich people.
The nearby neon area is Roppongi, party area (bars, clubs, strip clubs) for foreigners, US Navy and many kinds of low lifes.
Facing the Imperial Palace (I think).
Looking at the Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba (with the Ferris Wheel).
Looking towards Ginza, traditionally the most famous shopping district of Japan.
The area in front of Tokyo Tower.
We all thought this was pretty cool, taking reflections of ourselves on the glass of the tower.
