On Jan. 15, 08, the 4th day on my stay in New York, we first went to Roosevelt Island to get a view of the Midtown Skyline.
Taking the elevated subway line:
Roosevelt Island is just a weird place, an island in the heart of New York that was a former place to house mental people, sick people and criminals but now half of it is redeveloped for housing.
The aerial tram connects Manhattan to the island, we wanted to take the tram, but on that day it was out of service.
Redeveloped area:
Ruins of the smallpox hospital:
View of the United Nations building, the tall square black building is the Trump Tower:
Towards the Brooklyn side:
Next we took the subway to the Central Park area:
Inside Central Park:
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur, an entire Egyptian temple that was given as a gift to the U.S. and rebuilt inside the museum.
The museum's building:
5th Avenue, full of expensive apartments:
Back to Time Square (again) before going to watch the musical:
We went to see the musical "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", it was pretty entertaining, I did not realize that it was a comedy until the play started. E-tickets are getting more and more popular here:

Great pics as usual, I don't travel much and I definitely have never been to New York. I really want to go to the Art Museum though. I really like that kind of stuff.
